Health Care is in Crisis and there is the need for health care for all.

Founding Director of the Noor Dental Clinic, Ron Barbieri, will present some of the history of the Noor Foundation, and show the award-winning documentary film, LifeSaver. Featuring SLO Noor’s founder, Dr. Ahmad Nooristani, clinic directors, volunteers and patients. You won’t want to miss this in-depth look at Noor’s journey and commitment to care for the uninsured right here on the Central Coast.

Local physician Dr. Ahmad Nooristani created the Noor Foundation in 2009, with the goal of providing free health care to low income, uninsured County residents. In 2011, the SLO Noor Foundation, staffed by volunteer physicians, nurses, students and others, opened its clinic doors to more than 300 uninsured adults in need of free non-emergency medical, dental and vision care.

Ron Barbieri was a general dentist in SLO for 43 years, voted Best Dentist in SLO in2013 and 2015, and runner up in 2014 and 2016.After retirement from his dental practice, he continues to volunteer with the Noor Clinic because “When I walk out of the dental clinic my heart is full and I know I’ve made a difference in people’s lives.”
