In this 2-part series, author, educator, and Medical Social Worker Robert Sachs will offer a fresh and insightful perspective on how to view aging, our mental faculties, and what we can do to accept and overcome the many ways we have culturally defined and expected dementia to be part of aging.

Topics that will be covered in the first session are:

* The Ayurvedic Model of age, stage, ad thought processes

* Cultural irrelevance in a youth-obsessed society

* Enduring and succumbing to chemical, electromagnetic, and informational bombardment

* pharmacological poisoning and intoxication

* Alienating environments, including Nursing facilities as monasteries of drugged sages

* Techniques and processes to work with and transform these challenges.

In the second session you will explore the way people think about the above techniques and how to make them work for you.

August 29 and September 5, 1-3 p.m. at the Oddfellows Hall

Robert Sachs is an author and educator on topics involving health, consciousness, and spirituality. A complete list and description of his work is at www.ThePathofCivility.com
