Come learn the role that beavers play in our environment.  This class will discuss the role that beavers play in replenishing our groundwater aquifers, decreasing the intensity of floods, reducing the severity of wildfires, contributing to the management of fish populations, creating biodiversity hotspots and supporting the general overall health of our fragile wetland ecosystems.  Additionally, learn practices that can help you to see more wildlife when you are out exploring for beaver dams!

July 22, from 1-3 at the Methodist Church

Audrey Taub founded the San Luis Obispo Beaver Brigade in 2019 after a discussion with friends around ‘how can we each contribute to climate regeneration?’  The SLO Beaver Brigade was her answer to that question.  She has trained as a naturalist and nature mentor at the Wilderness Awareness School in Duvall, Washington.  She has a M.A. degree in Mathematics from SUNY Potsdam.  In 2005 she moved to San Luis Obispo County where she lives with her husband and 3 children.
