This course will touch on healthy living habits for a balanced life such as healthy eating, stress management and a positive mindset, getting enough sleep, the joy of social activities with others, and the importance of maintaining a healthy fitness level. During the fitness portion of the course the emphasis will be on the importance of Balance Training to improve postural control and core strength to prevent falls and improve mobility. A FALL can result in a devastating injury that could take months of recovery but with a little bit of training, your balance can be greatly improved. There will be active participation in static and dynamic balance practice during the course with the use of chairs for assistance and some props brought by the presenter.Â
