Are you curious about how a TV station works? What it takes to get a newscast on the air? How a news anchor’s scripts are prepared? How news stories are chosen for airing? How a weatherperson uses a “green screen” to report the weather? How social
media is impacting TV journalism? How technology has changed and is used today?
These and other topics will be discussed by Vivian Rennie, KSBY’s Morning Meteorologist and Co-host of KSBY News Daybreak and Josh Wiegman, Local Sales Assistant.
There will also be a Q&A session where we will have a chance to explore other subjects of interest to the class.
July 9, 10-11:30 p.m. at KSBY
If you plan on arriving individually, you will have to press the doorbell for the gate to open. We will all meet in front of the building and Marianne will have Consent and Release forms for you to sign prior to entry.
Vivian Rennie is KSBY-TV’s Morning Meteorologist and Co-host of KSBY News Daybreak. She is an experienced journalist with a life-long passion for science communication and a deep knowledge of meteorology and the broadcast news landscape.
