This lively slideshow supported 75-minute program reveals the state of recycling and solid waste management in San Luis Obispo County. The presentation will include an introduction to  composting facilities that turn food waste into compost and electricity! After seeing this thought-provoking presentation, you'll have a new perspective on what we throw away.

Time will be allotted for questions/answers after the slide program.

Free food pails, stickers, and fliers will be available to attendees.

Mike di Milo is the principal of Science Discovery, which he founded in 1995. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Mike works with all Science Discovery team members to ensure that public outreach and commercial business recycling programs provide exemplary customer service and support.

Mike is also involved in keeping current about innovations, laws, and trends in natural resources and waste management in California by networking with associates, staying active in several professional organizations, and attending conferences targeted at recycling and waste management in California.

Away from work, Mike enjoys motorcycle riding, local live music, ice hockey, and great coffee
