Many of us know about the benefits of meditation and relaxation techniques, but as one person said to me recently, “I’m too agitated to meditate. My mind is too busy thinking of all the negativity around us, the
elections, the wars, it’s just too much.”
This course will offer a way to find some relief from the fear and anger that seems overwhelming and threatens your well-being. There is such a way, and it’s called the gratitude effect. True gratitude opens us to discovering all the things and people in our lives which we usually take for granted.
One of the ways gratitude can be explored would be to delve into the important philosophy called “I and Thou” developed by philosopher and theologian Martin Buber, and see how we can move from the darkness of anger and fear, to finding opportunities to express gratitude and experience more fulfilling and uplifting life
